Chiriguano Bay
Our first stop in Antarctica was in Chiriguano Bay. We arrived early in the afternoon. This location did not have an actual landing site so we took a Zodiac tour around the bay.

Leaving Polaris
During Zodiac Cruises, one of the staff scientists guided us. They wore the Chartreuse dry suits while all the guests were in red expedition jackets. On most days, there were 10 of us, 5 on a side, and one Viking person. If we were being taken to a landing site, boat hands took us to the site and the scientists were there to answer questions.
Damaged Area
In this picture you can see the temporary repairs to the second floor. Polaris will be taken out of service during April 2023 to fix the windows and cabins that were damaged by the rogue wave.
